Can you say panorama? Lol
I'm taking on another old rc race car rebuild. This one is a TRC pro 10 sport pan car. 1/10 scale.
Not a lot left as far as buying parts. Lol.

I've gone through it and cleaned it. Pulled useless hardware and put new better fitting hardware where I could.

Things I still need.
New tires ✔️
New springs
Steering linkage
servo
Servo mount
servo saver
Front bumper
Body ✔️
battery
antenna holder
ball diff spur
Ball bearings for diff.
ball diff bearing

Things to do.
place electronics
buy stuff
Paint and do the body ✔️
grease diff and thruster bearing area.

sorry! These are almost a checklist or notes for me to do as I go lol.

I've had it a cpl of days now
This is as it sits now. I can't afford to go lipo or brushless or get a nice transmitter so it gets cheap fills for now. Bin stuff if you will.

The rear pod I'm not sure how much flex I'm supposed.to have... I've printed a manual but it's black and white and dated.
the oil in the shock was black. I replaced with 42.5 losi weight. Which is what I've used on all my cars thus far.

I'm debating making the side wings. Not sure on the material yet. Or use and or function. E.g. if it would even matter. Lol.

Ordered my body today! One step closer. Lol.
This will allow me to get the body post height. I like the retro rear wheel cover. Thinking I'll paint it in 80s and 90s nostalgic feel. Bright neon or tie dye colors. Should be kool and hippie. Lol. We will see.
Ty all.
Rc on!

Q's!
Can i use any thrust bearing?
Do i have to use the cone shape washers when packing my ball diff set up?
Do the foam bumpers on old pan cars slide over the front of the chassis? e.g. they are just pressure fitted on. push on?
...these cars are before my time.

Debating either an old school foam bumper or getting a universal one and just dilling it.

rc pan car body showed up today. Not sure how I'm gonna cut the very back of it. Leave it open or cut straight across and leave it closed?
Got a bunch of f1 stuff lately and included were some diff spur gears however when I go to put them on this car the sizing is all wrong. Lol. Need a bearing I think to replace these ones and than I'll insert the spacer. Rn it's just not gonna work as it is.

cut the body out last night. ready to pick out a paint color or two.
electronics from what i had include spektrum 200 receiver and rtr transmitter. brushless no name motor and no name 60a esc. w/fan.
20kg Chinese special servo. lol. We will see.
Still need the body posts, arms, and ball studs for steering and a way to attach the steer servo. Waiting for the low pro one to show to see if that's any better or worse. lol
Things are moving but slowly so not checking much else off my list yet.
Things aren't set so to speak.

alright I'm thinkin red. Red cars are faster all its a proven fact. Lol.
body turned out good I think. Doesn't have the big high back wing I wanted but still kool to me.
I rounded out the back to allow air to travel through and still keep it rigid and strong with the circular geometry. Honestly, I won't even be going fast enough at 1st I don't think to generate downforce on my rear so we'll see how high I mount the rear on the rear body posts.
tomorrow servos. Friday tires.
Gotta grab paints.
