Rere Ultima front hex conversion
Was pitting next to a friend and he had a bandit. The front arms were a dead ringer.

Had to file about .5mm off the inside of the arms on the inner pivot and I drilled a hole in the shock tower to raise the camber link to try and match the c hub height. Everything else was bolt up. The tie rods need to be a bit longer maybe 52mm for the camber link and 58mm for the tie rod. Improved track width to around 9-3/4" with losi wheels. Also 12mm front hexes. |
Using these arms on high grip carpet makes it a usable buggy. Before the bandit arms were put on the front track was too narrow and the back end was out driving the front on every turn. Just took a lunch break and went through a battery. I'm in love with this thing. Got it some TRX bling.

That looks great, can easily see the wider front stance. Nice work!

Very nice vintage ride.

It's cool to see they can still perform well compared to the new design. Not as well, but enough to get recognized.

As it sits today
