I've been tracking them for years, I'd guess a book value of about $2k but in all likelihood you'd only get about $1500

Great question. As an avid collector, I know the market right now is insane. Older cars from the 80's are fetching $1k and up. As an expert I would suggest the JRX2 is rarer than the RC10 and therefore would be worth more. I sold one of my original rc10's two years ago and got $1500. Today, the same shrink wrapped car NIB is worth north of $2k....

Since we're talking about value anyone have any idea how much a like new 100% original XX buggy would go for? Never been on a track just run around a baseball diamond a couple of times. Doubt that it ever flipped over because the body doesn't have a single scratch. I have the manual but as of now I can't find the box. Can't imagine I would have thrown it out so I'll have to look a little more

There is a NIB one I’m watching on an auction site right now. Be interesting to see what it goes for.

half tempted to bid at the moment, but won’t be going near $2000!

I paid around $570 for a NIB Kinwald Edition XX CR about 3 years ago. I also just bought an assembled (mint, never run) JRXT with the box and it was $550. Iím guessing an unbuilt JRX2 would bring around $1,500 or more, depending on if the box was sealed or not. I know I have seen at least one JRX Pro (sealed in the box) sell for $1,200 on eBay.

To me these kind of purchases are not for the faint of heart. How can someone be 100% sure what's inside? For this kind of money I'd want to x-ray it or something. Even that wouldn't be one hundred percent conclusive. Imagine how many people have stuff like this in a closet or in their basement and have no idea what they really have
