Default Tamiya Hotshot ll

Made a trade for this tamiya hotshot 2 today. The rims are dated 1985 if that means anything.

it is actually a hotshot 1, at some point somebody broke the original chassis and was only able to get hotshot 2 parts and replaced the chassis.

the hotshot 2 chassis basically was the same except you had access from the top through a small plate. tamiya used the hotshot 2 chassis on the re-release back in 2007.

between the hotshot and hotshot 2 there are some unique differences.

IIRC, the Hotshot II also had two rear dampers as compared to the single rear damper of the original Hotshot.

You have a Mk2 Hotshot 1. That was my very first hobby grade RC back in 1985. Wish I still had it today.
