Questions?? Re-released Kyosho 4wd Buggies.

Iíve got the Optima & are wondering if the Javelin uses the same chassis like the Scorpions do? Will a Javelin body set fit straight onto the Optima or are there differences between them thatíll make it difficult or impossible?

Will get the full Javelin kit if not possible & being Japanese I wouldíve thought that it makes perfect business sense to make them incompatible with each other.

the cage for the Javelin has a hoop that bolts to the chassis on the radio tray and then the cage uses other mounting points on the chassis and it should bolt right up to the optima if you have all the body parts. Kyosho used to sell javelin replacement cages in different colors that came with the hardware needed. No idea if they would re-issue the body sets separately like the old days. there are some chassis differences between the re-release and original, no idea the effect this would have on the re-release cage fitting originals.
Thanks for the advice, now have a Javelin body set for the re-re kit coming via eBay. Iíd suspect those different coloured sets are for the original Javelin & might not fit the re-re chassis so easily. We have a small collection of new built original Kyosho EP off-roaders & when comparing the two Optimas the new version is quite the improvement.
