Default currently have my monitor connected to the computer using an HDMI cable. Can I purcha

I'm new to HTPC and i currently have my monitor connected to the computer using an HDMI cable. Can I purchase an HDMI splitter so I can run HDMI to my receiver and to the computer monitor at the time? my goal is to be able watch movies from my hard drive on my HT system

For your application I believe something like this would be better

And I believe you can get cheaper versions with only two HDMI ports.
