Cool opportunity? ?

There isnt a track for atleast two hours of driving to get there anyone think central coast ca would b a excellent place to expand the hobby. With the huge wine market in our community there is plenty of kids wanting to drive just have no where to go

There is a track in Lompoc that runs twice a month...I usually drive the 3 hours or so to a indoor track to race once a month or so. Where do you live? What do you race? The Lompoc track is primarily catered to 1/8 and SC but I think they get some 1/10 buggies here and there.

The Central Coast has had racing off and on over the years, but costs seem to keep it from staying more than 2-3 years at any one time.

The Lompoc off-road track looks fun, I've been there several times, but I'm not an off-road guy, so I've never driven it.

I did local parking lot races at the High School in NIPOMO for a few years, but there just wasn't enough support to keep it going - too much work/ not enough $$ and $$ was needed so my scoring system (AMBrc) was sold off -

I believe the hobbyshop in Atascadero has a scoring system, but I haven't heard of them doing or even trying to do any races in years.

2001-2012 - South-West Tour R/C Oval Series...will the SWT be revived?
Things are headed towards a return of the SWT Series, but for
2017 the focus will be on the Encino Velodrome (and dirt oval racing)
