Default Still no on road Racing in Northern Virginia, why?

The track is offroad and the C in Frederick has closed.....

Is onroad dead in the People's Republic of Northern Virginia?

It seems like on road racing is dying around the DMV. Sad thing to see when just a few years ago I remember there being around 10 heats every Saturday at the C and at THE TRACK. Only thing left is middle river, and it seems like only one class running ever Saturday and that's touring car. And it's mostly sponsored drivers that run. What happened to racing in the DMV? We used to bring a big turn out to all three tracks. I personally hate off-road, and hate seeing everyone turning to that.

On road is very strong in V.A. Debbies rc has a nice track and have good turn outs. Richmond is even getting the racers back in. This will be a good year for on road in VA.

offroad is popular because people can bash their rigs and race their rigs. with onroad you are more likely to be stuck with just racing. so offroad is just going to be more popular... therefore more tracks will be set up for offroad.

all the entry level kits I see marketed to kids are offroad (see Traxxas). that's not going to help the onroad market at all.

have you looked at the price of commercial real estate in the DMV? how they can afford to support that amount of sqft with just weekend races i'll never know. it would cost a fortune to develop an onroad program.
