Hey Mo,
OVRCCC will be running outdoor soon. We have a small indoor track as well.
www.ovrccc.com
Nothing right in Charleston. Parkersburg or Huntington. Good showing at both!

Our carpet track is in Mineral Wells. We may have something better next year.
Huntington is the next best thing. They may be running on Wednesday nights during the summer.
Why ya moving? What is in Charleston that is so appealing?
First Annual West Virginia On-Road Championship race in 4th of July weekend. www.ovrccc.com

I live and work in Charleston. The best carpet track in the area is about 45 minutes away in Huntington ( http://www.tcrcracing.com ). Its 78 x 36 and pictures are on the website.
The OVRCCC guys have the best outdoor track in the area by far. It is about 1 hour and 15 minutes north of Charleston. There are plenty of us that make the trek up there if you were ever interested.
OVRCCC also has a fun litte carpet track about 50 minutes north of Charleston. Its 36 x 36. I think they are talking about expanding next year which would be really cool as they run a good program.
If you get into Nitro Offroad TCRC has a great outdoor track as well. They will be hosting round 3 of the RCPro Series North Division. Plenty of 8th scales, 10th trucks, and MTs. I'm trying out some 8th scale this year for sh!ts and giggles.
Feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions about the area. I've lived here for about 5 years. [email protected]

No. They will be 'running' on Wednesday nights over the summer, but the club is an offroad club and thus weekends in the summer is all dirt for them. It will be October before we return to the indoor track on the weekends.
The Wednesday night deal has VERY small turnouts by nature and there appear to be more oval guys interested in wednesdays than onroad.
For what its worth the OVRCCC gang runs foams on asphalt (as close as it gets to the traction of carpet I'd assume) and should have at least 2 or 3 heats of TC each week. They plan to start April 9th I've been told.
