Default EN Hobbies / RC Racing & Sports Complex, Columbus Ohio

I didn't see a thread, forgive me if this is a duplicate.

EN Hobbies / RC Racing and Sports Complex is a Hobby Shop and Track in Columbus Ohio, Convenient to I70 East and 270.

The facility is a 25,000 sq ft retail storefront, with a stocked hobby shop, 1/10th scale electric off road track, and carpet oval. Concessions are available on-site, and food is also available nearby from several places. We support AMB personal transponders and provide public transponders for those that need them.

We have had an average of 60-80 entries for our saturday race program,

The top three positions in any A main with 6 or more entrants pays out in hobby bucks, good towards future race entries, parts, or concessions. 1st pays 15.00, second 10.00 and third 5.00 in gift certs.

1st class is 15.00, second is $10.00 and each additional is $5.00, with kids counting as a second entry with a racer adult entry (your kids, not all the neighborhood kids lol).

We have central heat and air conditioning, big bathrooms, a tire washing area, tile floors, pit space for 100+ racers (200+ if needed) with tables, chairs and electric provided, the only thing missing is YOU!

the facility is open mon. thru fri. from 11-9 for practice, Saturday doors at 8:00AM, Off Road Racing starts at noon and runs till finished.

5751 Chantry Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43232 614.501.RACE (7223)

Exclamation Why a 2 day race?

I would think that attendance may have been a little better if this was a 1 day race! Just my thoughts. It would seem that most 2 day races any are getting to be too expensive any more for the average racer to attend! Not only gas/fuel to get to the facility, but an extra day meaning a hotel/motel room. Even sharing hotel/motel rooms is getting too expensive in todays economy.

Flame on........

Is this track still active? Open for practice tomorrow night?

Edit: Ok it appears to be, says open for practice from 5p-10p on their FB page posted on Monday. So new question: What would the suggested tires be? What's the surface?

I think I'm going to bring my Caster with me but may have to mount up some BarCodes if it is a packed clay high bite surface. I have soft AKA Impacts and the stock mini pins (maybe a medium compound?) mounted and gold bar codes NIB waiting for indoor season this fall.
