PT Raceway NEW TRACK Level Green, Murrsyville, Pittsburgh, Penn Trafford, Irwin
Hello everyone, there will be a new rc race track opening very soon in the area listed in the thread title. I will get the address tomorrow. We will be running indoor on carpet. This means we will be able to race indoor offroad, touring cars and oval. There will be practice one to two nights a week, and racing will be friday saturday and sunday. We will most likely run one day for each, but will meet with the racers before deciding on a set schedule. The website will be functioning shortly and we plan to begin racing by november, but this will be subject to chqnge depending upon construction.

Here was the beginning days of ripping up the tile to get the floor ready for the carpet. The floor is completely leveled and will have carpet over it soon. We will be able to run oval and touring car along with off road. I will keep everyone posted on the track, glad to hear the interest in the new track.

I heard about this track through the grape vine, cant wait til it opens this place is gonna be amazing. Keep working guys I wanna race.

Ive also heard alot about this track from Matt.I cant wait.I work right down the road on the corner of 130 and Forbes Rd so Ill deffinately be up.

What type of carpet are you using? Ozite, Office Loop? Any ideas on what class for Oval?

Id suggest off road on Friday or Sunday so youd get more racers since McColloughs runs on Saturdays.

I will have to check on the carpet and get back to you. We want to run all the oval we can. Right now i know there will be nascars, possibly 2wd truck, mini sprints and modifieds, hopefully 1/12 scale. We feel that anythting anyone wants to run in an oval we will be able to have a class for it. We are up for suggestions, let me know what classes and days you wanna run, that way we can get a better idea. So far i have heard about a group of guys from indiana, and irwin that are interested in oval, but i havent heard what day or classes they wanna run. Thanks for the interest guys keep me posted and ill do the same for you. Seems like this track cant open fast enough.

Haha me too, and the mellow yellow is getting all dusty so she will probably be behind for a little bit.
Getting back to you guys the carpet is a close knit weave, not ozite. Ozite is a fragile carpet and will get torn up pretty quick if we run offroad on it, so we opted for other carpeting that will be more durable, but also good quality.

Website? No i need the domain name and server space before i can put it on the internet. I have the thing close to done, but i cant put it on til we buy the space. I figured i would wait to purchase until i can just upload everything to the site.
