it's not a bad idea, but consider the fact that you are going to "thin the heard" so to speak. You have the following tracks within two hours of north jersey:

trax 70
barnstormers
li raceway
family hobbies, vineland
wolcott
rch
gallimods
dirtrunners
station 2, middletown ny

not to forget the awesome pa tracks that are within 3hr drive. I'm not discouraging you, but don't expect huge turnouts. I have raced rc for over 25 years and have never had this many track options to race at within 2 hrs of north jersey.

Just a thought.

long island raceway
rch

don't get me wrong, a track close by would be awesome. Just that a friend of mine has a great carpet indoor track in Moonachie, nj and it's been a battle to get great turnouts.

Most of those tracks are outdoor. How many people can drive 2 hours during the week to practice? How many have an on site hobby shop? How many of those tracks can you show up whenever you want to practice and tweak your ride? Driving 2 to 3 hours to race is fine, but how many don't do it cause they can't dedicate a whole day to rc?
I feel we will offer many things these other places can't.

Sorry to hear you guys have problems bringing in people. We are going a different route with dirt. We feel that outdoor racers would prefer to tune their stuff on dirt vs carpet for outdoor racing.

with a track in north jersey you will be thicking the heard much more then thining it.also you are talking about some nitro track that are closed in the winter and this track is 99.9% electric.

you really can't compare indoor carpet racing......with an indoor off-road track with dirt.....

let's recap what this track will offer..
practice 7days a week with a retail store on-site...VIP CLUB MEMEBERS WITH ACCESS TO PRACTICE WHENEVER THEY WANT.
club racing with 2 big race events
retail store that pretty much has all your hobby needs..A.E. LOSI..KYOSHO..TEAM DURANGO...TRAXXAS..HPI....NOVAK..TEKIN..ETC..ETC..
10th scale racing with plans of 1/8th scale electric..sorry GUS
