Default Wizards RC Raceway - Scriba NY

Having talked with track owner Terry Thompson recently, this is what the outlook for outdoor racing is looking like in Scriba NY this summer:

Offroad Racing:

Start Date: Saturday May 8th (Tentative, weather pending)

-Track Opens at 10AM every Saturday. Sign ups end at 11:45, 1st heat rolls off at 12PM SHARP!!
-Entry Fee: $10 for first class, $6 for 2nd Class
-AMB Scoring. Personal Transponders can be used


Format:
-Nitro: 2 rounds Qualifying (5 Min Heats), Mains with bumps. All A mains 15 min, Lower mains all 6 Min.

-Electric: 2 rounds Qualifying (5 Min Heats), Mains with bumps. All mains 6 Min

** All qualifying Ifmar style. All features heads up races.

Classes:
-Beginner: Run what ya brung!
-1/10 Stock 2wd SC Trucks (17.5 Brushless Allowed, No Castle or Tekin ESC's Allowed)
-1/10 13.5 Pro 2wd SC Trucks (13.5 Brushless Allowed, any ESC)
-1/10 Open 4x4 SC Trucks (1/8 Buggy tires and wheel conversions allowed, any motor, up to 3 cell lipo)
-1/8 Buggy (Roar Rules, RTR Engines allowed however)
-1/8 Truggy
-1/8 Monster Truck

Depending on turnout, the following classes can and will be run:
-1/10 2wd Truck
-1/10 2wd Buggy
-1/10 4wd Buggy
-1/8 Electric Buggy (Electrics & Nitro will run together until enough show up to separate)
-1/8 Electric Truggy (Electrics & Nitro will run together until enough show up to separate)


Must be 4 or more to run a class!!!


Rules:

-1/10 Stock 2wd SC Trucks: (stock trucks, 17.5 Brushless Allowed, No Castle or Tekin ESC's Allowed)
-1/10 13.5 Pro 2wd SC Trucks: (13.5 Brushless Allowed, any ESC)
-1/10 Open 4x4 SC Trucks: (1/8 Buggy tires and wheel conversions allowed, any motor, up to 3 cell lipo)
-1/8 Buggy: (Roar Rules, RTR Engines allowed however)
-1/8 Truggy: (Roar Rules, RTR Engines allowed however)
-1/8 Monster Truck: (Roar Rules, RTR Engines allowed however)
-1/10 2wd Truck: (Roar Rules, 13.5 brushless Max)
-1/10 2wd Buggy: (Roar Rules, 13.5 Brushless Max)
-1/10 4wd Buggy: (Roar Rules, 13.5 Brushless Max)
-1/8 Electric: (Roar Rules)





Oval Racing:

Start date: Friday May 7th (Weather Pending)

-Track Opens @ 4:30PM, Signups end 6:45PM, Racing starts @ 7PM Sharp!
-AMB Scoring, Personal Transponders accepted
-Entry Fee: $10 first entry, $5 each additional entry.


Format:

-2 rounds Qualifying (Ifmar races), features with bumpups. All races 4 Min!!
-All drivers must marshall (if you cant, find someone who can)

Classes:
-Begginer: RTR's allowed. Must have foam tires or rubber street treaded tires
-1/10 Truck (17.5 Max)
-1/10 Open Sprint (13.5 Max)
-Latemodel (17.5 Max)
-Small Block EDM (17.5 Max)
-Big Block EDM (13.5 Max)

Depending on turnout, Terry is also open to running the following classes:
-1/10 Nitro Sprint
-1/10 Nitro EDM
-1/8 Nitro Latemodel
-1/8 Nitro Sprint


Rules:

-We will be using the same general rules as Redneck RC's Indoor racing
-All cars must run foam tires! Trucks may run rubber street treaded tires, and the 1/8 classes (if run) may run foams or rubber street treads.
-All Lipos must be charged to 8.44V Max! No Overcharging!
-All Lipos must be 2 cell, 7.4V hardcase packs

I will update whether motor limits have changed as soon as I have spoken with Terry again. Should be updated Monday!



Terry is very excited for the outdoor season to begin and to see everyone coming out to race. Last year we had a good group of racers make it out every week which resulted in a ton of fun. Terry is planning on some special events also, so keep checking back as I will update this post often!
