Did you bring in dirt? Can you break down your costs so far?

Default track

I like the lights on the track, looks good. I built a 110' x 190' track myself a few yrs. ago on the back of my property, 140 yds of dirt added, it's alot of work, but worth it. I am jealous though I have no lights on it for night running.

I have not brought in any dirt since the rest of my yard is manicured like a golf course and it would destroy it getting the dirt there.. i scraped and created a grade to get enough to build berms and jumps.. i wish i had a truckload of sifted clay to till into it but im not ready to wheelbarrow it across ten acres to get it there.....

costs

generator 500.00
lighting : 500.00
tubing 6 100 ft rolls at 34.00 a roll
and drivers stand was about 200.00 for all the wood it holds 4 comforably..

i have my own bobcat and front end loader, tiller tractor so equipment was free... you can get a used generator on craigs list or just not install lights to save costs... the most expensive part of lighting was the wire.. at .80 per ft it adds up fassssst

glenn

ps: my snob ass neighbors love me we were running nitro cars till 11:00 last night

Very nice!! Thats a lot of hard work there. That would be so nice to have a personal track like that in your own back yard. Congrats.

Add elevation and make a jump than turns into a 180 so that if you over jump it your off the track. Just my 2 cents.
