There will be no practice tonight at LCRC, we have gotten rid of all the snow, still just a little too wet yet. 3 more days of sun before the Regional should make for a great track for the weekend. I plan on changing a few things on the track this Friday when it drys enough to get the equipment out on the track. I'll keep you all posted.

Thanks,

Kevin

Lots of sun shine, high's in the mid 50's and NO chance of rain! It will be the best weather we have had in months. Looking forward to a great season finally/ROAR Regional. Sounds like a good crowd will be here so don't miss out.

Equipment is here, track is dry and I'm changing some stuff on Friday morning so the track will be fresh and no one will have any advantage of more track time over anyone else. Track will be open on Friday for practice from 5 to 10pm. Track will open at 7:30 am Sat morn and racing starts at 11 am sharp! Sign up will close at 10:30. $25 for 1/8 scale and $20 for SCT classes (SCT classes are exhibition only) Awards to top 10 in all 1/8 and top 3 in SCT, TQ awards to all.

If you have any questions please contact me at the shop or by e mail, I will be very busy over the next 2 day and won't be on the forum much. I'll be in the shop all day Thursday and out on track all day Friday.

Tomorrow is going ot be our last weekly Tuesday night practice. We may advertise a Sat or Sun afternoon practice session if we get some freak good weather but other than that we are going to be closing the track for the season. So if you want to get out on the track one last time before the snow, you better come out tomorrow night, open till 10pm.

thanks,

Kevin

hey guys, I got a question for you LCRC regulars. I was to a few of the tuesday practice nights with my SC truck but I just scored an awesome deal on a HB D8 buggy roller that I'm gonna get together as an electric conversion for next year. My question is for the 1/8 E-buggy guys..... whats a good motor/esc combo and battery setup for LCRC?? I'm leaning towards Tekin since thats what I have in my SC10 4x4 but what KV are you guys running? Also what tires are you guys using there?? I had cityblocks on my SC, are they a good buggy choice too??

I would go with a tekin esc and a tekin 1900. Next year I think Im going to try the new LRP system. For tires I always used a soft gridiron or a soft impact but cityblocks work but not always the fastest tire to get around the track.

I've got the HB VE8 with the tekin RX8 and the T8 1900kv motor. My gearing is 23/50 on 4s and I have plenty of power around the track. I had the MMM system before with the 1800kv motor. It also had good power but the Tekin system is much smoother. Tekin is much newer to me and I haven't had any issue's yet. But the impression I've got is the Castle system is a bit tougher than Tekin. Soft or super soft Calibers, Impacts, Grid Iron's and CityBlock's are the way to go with buggy tires.
