I just ran my Hyper 9 tonight with the tekin 8 system, futaba servo, and 25c 4200 and ran for about 16 minutes. I'm using pink compount Hot Bodies tires. I'll get you the name of the tire soon. Josh Alton ran the same tire as myself. I TQd but he ended up getting the best of me. It's a great tire and compound. I'm sure others will work very well too. Let me know if this helps out. I never knew how fun 1/8th scale was. I'm rebuilding all my 1/10th scale AE cars and going to run them but I'm mad because I can't beat Jeramy Kortz lap time of 23.4. The closes I got in racing was 23.6. I'll get there and give him a run for his money.

What do you all recommend for motor/ESC/battery for 1/8 Electric? I saw some guys running the Castle setup (green motor sticks out like a sore thumb).

Which motor/ESC did Josh Alton and Danny run?

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, some of the guys were running 3s setups, though 4s would be more economical long term, especially if you run 2s in the 1/10 2WD and 1/10 2WD Truck class.

Anyone have advice on motor/ESC/battery combos for 1/10 2WD truck? Deciding against 1/8 4WD Electric due to the cost (the TEKIN RX8 runs $300 and an entire 1/10 2WD setup would run $350, which includes the truck/buggy).

Default slash

got a question can i run a sealed diff in spec slash, currently stuffing it with grease. my setup. 19/90 pinion/spur. currently traxxas tires all around. shocks-50 wt frnt-40 wt rr. 1 limiter in frnt shock, 2 limiters in rr shock(1 is allready in there) front and rear shocks all the way out. currently using 5100 nimh packs, hard to keep up in acceleration, speed is ok though.will try going back to 18/86.will try bringing the shock back in a hole or two on the rear.keep experimenting until i find an excellent setup.if anyone needs help i'll try to help.
