Post POSSIBLE NEW TRACK IN NORTH COUNTY SAN DIEGO

I'm working on looking for a warehouse in the North County area of San Diego to build a Off Road track indoors for racing as well as practicing. I havn't got all the details yet but wanted to get a feel from everyone. I'm also going to try and put a on road track as well. Most likley out side depending on the size of the builing I can get.

Let me know your feelings of any Ideas if you have any.

Thanks,

DA

Sounds great! Will it be big enough for electric 1/8th scale? That would be awesome. Good luck.

I would like to have 1/8 scale, 1/10 scale but also possibly have a 1/18 scale if enough show to fill a class for a race.

Hey Dan, you know that I'm definately up for a good track in the area! I will be glad to help out as much as I can, just let me know what you need. I just hope it will be friendly to my 1/18. It will be a while until I get a 1/10 or 1/8.

Thank everyone for the responses. I trying to get some numbers together so if it is even possible right now. Ya know, with these banks being such a pain ya know.

But in the mean time we all should find a spot and build a little track somewher on a empty lot. Just like these kids do with there BMX jumps ya know. Anyone have any ideas?

I think a lot of local people will be interested on a track close to Escondido. Please let us know and I'll pass the voice arround.

I can also help if you need me to.

That's awesome! north county, scratch that. SAN DIEGO need's a 1/10th all around friendly offroad track. something to run 2wd buggy on. then the 1/18ths can run also.

I'd be interested as I live in Temecula area. It would be nice to have a closer indoor offroad facility then OCRC.

I know I have a few buddies that I would be dragging with me as well.

I live in Temecula, work in Escondido. Indoor track in North County would be sick. I'd be there a couple times a week at least.

And indoors would most likely have to be electric only, trying to get approved to run nitro would be super tough to do here in Cali.

Yeah it sucks. That's the price we pay to live in Cali
Basically if you want to have FUN you need to live somewhere other than California.

I don't care what it is. If you build it I will run on it.

i agree. no matter the track, anything permanent, i will buy the right car and run on it.
Im in Escondido so anywhere within 10-20 miles, i'd be there at least 3 times a week, and around to help out. Im sure I speak for many.
Krupted, are you still looking? You should get the old Mervyn's building
that'd be awesome, off-road on one side, on-road on the other, pits in between, and parts counter against the wall.
That'd be cool if we could get some help financially from one of the local hobby shops.
Just my $.02
