Hello Friends,

Just letting every one know that the racing at MHS has been a ton of fun for the last few weeks and want to remind you all that we are racing this Thursday night again.

A few weeks ago we started a thread here at http://rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=175151
letting you all know some details about the place but thought we would restart the thread here now that the store is running races.

Keep in mind the Grand Opening day is the first saturday in October.

We race Mini Z's at the store and at the moment until the weather gather in Nanuet NY to race brushless 1/10 scale.

Come check the place out and lets have fun.

Where in Nanuet do you race? Outdoor off-road?

We race at a place called County Gas in Nanuet NY it is at 83 West Nyack Rd.

The owner John is a great guy and is big into racing RC cars and a track is set up every week on Tuesday night with Road Rails and we race on road touring. Right now it has been brushless electric racing every week. It is open to nitro as well but we all converted to brushless and have been having a ton of fun.

The place has a drivers stand and an AMB Lap Counter as well.

Tomorrow night we will be there and most people show up around 8pm. We usually start racing around 9:30 ish.

County Gas was recently supported for years by a local hobby shop that provided the lap counting system and told people about the place to race. For some reason that hobby shop (who will remain nameless) suddenly discontinued providing the lap counter after last weeks race and removed it from the track.

Needless to say many racers where left very disappointed because there place to race was loosing their lap counter. Maj's Hobby Shop decided to support the track and is now providing one for the group. It was ordered last week and should arrive by tomorrow morning so that every one can continue to enjoy racing on road touring and finish the rest of the season.

Is there actual racing on Tuesdays or just open track?

I was there several times many years ago, mid-late 90's I guess, running nitro. I think then it was by invite only.

there is actual racing. The track is setup that day with amb timing system. you need to bring your own PT.

The place in nanuet had a lap counter until last week. The hobby shop owner took the system from the track last week and Maj's Hobby Shop ordered a new one along with non personal transponders so that we can get more people to race with us.

Unfortunately AMB did not send everything WHEN they said they would and we had to reschedule for tomorrow instead. Otherwise we run on Tuesday nights.

We are not going to count on the overnighting it like they said they would so I will update everyone about Tuesday nights in Nanuet by tomorrow.

We probably raced 3 times on the same night but they where consecutive weeks.

Leo, the only 6 foot 6 driver at the track at the time.

I use to love that track. It was just too far for me and I got burnt out going there so much.

Grand Opening October 13th, 2007 Saturday!

Just a quick update on our grand opening.

It is going to be on October 13th, 2007.

We may be starting a point series that evening as well.

We will also have some give aways!

Racing will begin at 8:30 pm for those who will be staying to race that night.
