Yea he did tell me that he saw you there last year. His brother in-law still has most of his stuff but he does not race anymore. As a matter of fact I think he is selling most of his stuff.I also wanted to ask you if you are still running that forioni (I think thats how to spell) clutch or did you go back to a 4 shoe?

looks good Mike. What does it weigh?

Not sure , but I don't think I want to get hit in the shin with it.... my massive shins are a small target though

If you were running iffy tires the last time we raced against each other I could be in trouble

Nothing agaist Shot-bodies, but, the RC8B was a vast improvement over the RC8. Based upont that, I believe the RC8B-E its going to be the E-Scale to beat!

Jim...i changed to a standard 3 shoe for the beginning of this season atleast...

last year i struggled with what i thought was a 'lean bog'...after some close inspection and talking with some others about my issue...i found out it was the fiorini clutch set-up i had on the car...

the fiorini has two major problems...toooo much contact area all at once, and the overall outside dimension of the shoes gave the engine little time to get into a rpm that it could pull the car with the clutch engaged...

the other day with a 3 shoe set-up and a stock ninja...the car was way more like an electric than ever before...

You're probably correct Edward, but it's nice try different cars. The Rc8b is driven by two of the best rc'rs in the entire world. Their talent would put any of the "above average" buggies in the winners circle. If you really want to prove your point you could get one and talk Brad into getting the Mugen, then we could compare things on the track....just an idea

"way more like an electric" If I understand, and I think I do, you're saying that your nitro car being like an electric is a good thing

OSR...you are correct...i also did some brake work also...x-ray pads, advantage rotors and kyosho brake springs...very linear feel

i used 1/10 pan car springs last year...they felt real good when new, i think they lost some rate as they got hot and/or too many cycles...

CR,what do you think of a 4 shoe (2com/w black springs and 2alum/w gold springs)clutch.I decided to use that this year.Only ran a couple of times and seems o.k alot of punch on bottom I was also going threw clutch bearings left and right so I went to ceramic bearings.I also was looking into those Boca bearings but didnt try yet.

Howdy Yinz!

I hope nobody has been snowed in too much. Anyway, I've been lurking around here for about a week now. If the username didn't give it away, I'm a student at Penn State. I've been driving RC cars since middle school, and I recently picked up an RC10GT2 to replace my much maligned RC10GT. It joins a fleet consisting of a B3, TC3, and an L2. It looks like you guys have a great track, and I look forward to checking it out. Snow aside, do you guys still run races in the cold?
