Nitro Onroad racing in Sacramento, CA
River City RC & SpeedWorld have gotten together to run a NITRO program at SpeedWorld Raceway in Roseville. On alternating Sundays River City RC will be at SpeedWorld to run the nitro practice and race days starting October 8th.
On October 8th, SWR will be open from 10am to 5pm for NITRO practice. There are a few specific rules for nitro cars at SWR which can be found on River City RC's forum ( http://rivercityrc.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=776 ). If you have any questions regarding the nitro program I would contact Billy from SpeedWorld directly or you may also contact us at River City RC.
On October 22nd we will have nitro races, track opening at 8am, first cars on the track at 9am, and the heats will start at 11am. We are currently working on a points system for club racing, so for right now the only prizes for winning are bragging rights.
This is a pilot program being tested by Billy and run by River City RC. We want everyone to respect his rules and track facility so we may continue holding these special events at SWR for the foreseeable future.
