Thanks for the offer, but I won’t be back out there until the kids finish school next year. We are planning to move there June 2019. I have always driven 2wd buggies. I wish 1/8 2wd was a thing. I will definitely make it out there next year.

I was looking at there facebook and I don't see a 2wd sct mod class. Do they even race them anymore. Need to decide if I should keep or sell my 2wd sct. Over here at rchq the class has died out.

i personally use proline tires.. i run buck shots, hole shots, and fugitives. when it grooves, and is warm, we even use electrons and positrons.

sofar.. the compound of choice is M3, we use S3, and S4 when the temperature calls for it..

What are the hours out there?

I'd like to get a ride to practice during weekdays when I'm not out of town. I'd mostly only be able to run during the day mid week so probably a lot of practice time.

They are open Wednesday for racing, Friday afternoon/evening for practice, and Saturday for racing. Check out their Facebook page for the event schedule. They are starting something new for the 1/10 cars this Saturday. They are bringing back REAL DIRT racing on a portion of the dirt 1/8 scale track.

Thanks for the reply, Wednesdays could work for me. Nights and weekends are all spent with the family because I'm out of the country most of the year. but days while they're at school and work is my aim.....I'll see if I cant get a setup and head out.

Thank you

I have finally got out there to race last Saturday with my son. They are running what’s called “Dirt and Turf” every other Saturday (check their schedule on Face Book). They run the carpet track then the big dirt track (cut short for 1/10 cars) in the same program. They keep the dirt moist and the traction is actually pretty good. My son raced the carpet track and I ran my HB D216 against several 4wd mod buggies on the dirt. It was a blast! I am very glad that real 1/10 dirt racing is making a comeback here in central Texas. They are also alternating racing on the dirt and carpet tracks on Wednesday nights. Now I just want some others to show up with their 2wd buggies.
