Default West Houston Saturday Racing

Are there any tracks in the west Houston area that race on Saturdays? Preferably offroad. I just moved to the Westchase area of Houston from out of state. Looking for a place to race on the weekends.

Check www.2coolfishing.com. There is an R/C forum that has a full schedule for the area.

M&M hobby center just finished rebuilding its track and it looks really good. Should be good for short course and 1/8 buggy.

Cool. I stopped by there a couple weeks ago to check the place out. Looked like they have a great facility. Do they have an offroad race schedule finalized? Thanks.

Check out Mikes Hobby Shop in Porter Texas which is a little north of Houston too. We race every weekend. mikes-hobbyshop.com

The new layout at MM looks awesome. In my opinion it's what a 1/10 off road track should be. Most of the course won't give fast motors an advantage yet there is a run down the front that will. The jumps aren't too big and there are no ridiculous triples that you can try to clear at full speed. It's all quite manageable. The best aspect is that with the new work that was done there is actually real dirt on it! You can see it get kicked up behind the car. Finally someone gets it! Your blue groove tires aren't going to work there. They've also got a nice manageable track size that is easy to see all the way across. Very happy to have this rebuild. If we could have a track like that with the facilities of Mike's, life would be perfect.

There's also Katy R/C which is about 8 miles west of Beltway 8.

Cool. I plan to be there this Sat with my e-buggy. What time does the track open and what time do qualifiers begin? Thanks.
