Oak Hollow RC Raceway...
Oak Hollow RC Raceway is a backyard track located in New Braunfels, TX. Here is the website... www.oakhollowraceway.com
We occasionally have locals over to turn a few laps and shoot the bull...a very laid back time. Check out the site and let us know what you think!

First running of the New Layout...
OHRC had its' first running of the new layout yesterday! It was an impromptu get together with my friend Mark...we tried to shoot the only window of decent weather we've had in weeks.
We ran two nitro buggies, an e-buggy, a short course truck and a monster truck. The most fun was the short course truck since the layout is tight, the lanes are 8'-9' wide and the landing areas are small. With such close quarters for combat the closed wheel body style of an SCT makes it easier to get in there and bang it out...buggies not so much...they tend to get tangled up a bit more. But the nitro buggies felt really good once you got the rhythm down...the track actually felt quite a bit larger than it was.
Lap times were a lot higher than I originally thought they would be...the fastest legitimate lap turned was 34.322s. Most laps were in the 36s-39s range. I suspect these will all drop over time...with maybe the flyers in the 32s range.
Below are links to a video of the new layout taken today (just me running a few laps with the ebuggy) as well as practice times from yesterday (both nitro and ebuggy).
