Woodlands Racer

In preparations for the last race of the SWCS season here are a few items to note;

Points thru race #5 are posted at http://www.gmanrc.com/index.pl?id=2623 Please note that all races carry the same points value in this year's SWCS and each participant will drop their two lowest scores in calculating the final standings.

Thru race #5, the SWCS has had a net income of $970 net after split with host track/club of entry fees and the cost of announcer/score keeper. The net proceeds will be used for trophies and other expenses that the SWCS might incur.

Speaking of trophies, we will have the Awards Banquet on the Saturday night of the Region 9 Championship on Oct. 10/11th. We will announce location soon.

Here is the planned schedule for Race #6 to be held on SEP 26/27 at Mike's Hobby Shop in Porter, TX:

Track Opens 12:00 noon
Drivers meeting 2:00 pm
Qual Rd #1 2:30 pm
Qual Rd #2 4:30 pm
Qual Rd #3 6:30 pm

Sunday >
Track Opens at 8:00 am
Qual Rd #4 9:00 am
Drivers Meeting & Mains Posted 10:30 am
Mains Start 11:00 am

Thank for the information, Roger. Also, a big thanks to all the committee members, and you too Bob, for putting on a good and flawless series this year. It has been fun to race the series this year without any controversies or bickering and we have you guys from the committee to thank for that. Keep up the good work and I look forward to next year's series.

I plan on it. Just had to spend $550 on the SUV just before the last SWCS race (the reason why I missed it). I have recovered a little from that cash outlay and have made the arrangements to be there.
