Default RC Racing in San Antonio

What is happening in San Antonio (or close) in the way of RC car racing? Any oval racing?, on-road?, electric?

I can't speak 100% for SA, but I know they opened or are opening a dirt oval out in Waco. And then in SA, I think the Hobby Town still holds on-road racing there. Not 100% sure, but I'm sure others will chime in with corrections and updates.

Default Cheap Racing....

What's the cheapest on-road to get into? Gas or electric?

Also what scale? What's best for kids, I have a 4 y/o that I would like to get started in as well.....

Thanks for the feedback so far. Have seen the Hobbytown track. Will be relocating to San Antonio in a few weeks and hope to find a racing (home) track. Am hoping for OVAL and it looks like Hobbytown has oval capability but looks like most are running ON-ROAD. Will visit the shop when I get back into town and stop by the track on raceday to see what's happening.

Default Nothing right now...

I sold off everything again....but I want to get back into something. My son is now 5 and I want to get him started in something.

I want to race something that's fun and not too much money....I know that's hard to do, but I want my son to also get involved.

1/10th is what I have now...Oval pan car
Could get a 1/12th scale if warranted
Also have a left & right car (touring car)..could run road course

Will see what's happening when I can start racing
