Did anyone else notice the amount of lane cutting that was going on out there yesterday?

It's understandable for the Novice class and maybe even the less experienced guys in regular classes. But I saw a few guys doing it who should know better. I won't call anyone out here but it was enough to change race results in a few cases.

I noticed a few people doing it. We will bring this up at the next race in the drivers meeting. Thank you for pointing it out.

Hah. Most of what I saw was a few guys cutting after they wrecked and needed marshaling. I know it can suck if you get a marshal that isn't paying attention but it happens to everyone. Heck I sat under a jump for a very long time in the first 4WD buggy heat. But I wouldn't have been sitting under that jump if I hadn't wrecked.

I don't mean to sound like I'm worked up about it or anything. I'm not. I just don't really get how anybody takes it seriously enough that they feel the need.

Maybe it's something common enough that I'll just have to get used to it.

By the way, is this Benny? If so it was good to see you out there. I was gonna say hello but it was kinda hectic running three classes.

I'm just being curious here, so don't read anything into it. Why all the different race lengths? 6,8 and 10 minutes? Especially in the "vintage" class. ROAR was 4 minutes back in the day, and IFMAR was 5 minutes, ROAR went to 5 minutes when they dropped the 7 cell option.

We really haven't been following any certain rules per say. We have just been doing our own thing. We decided the novice/kids class would be good to run 4 mins then when they move up to the standard classes they gain a minimum of 2 more mins each time they hit the track (depending on which main they are in). Since most of us are now used to 6 min qualifiers we pretty much stuck with that. I have never raced a vintage class until this past weekend. We all buy the bigger capacity batteries now. I guess we just figure that we should get the most track time you can for your money.

Is everyone else over all the ice and snow we have been having like I am? I'm ready to get out of the house and enjoy some track time. Racing this Sunday!! Doors open at 11am. Practice from 11am-12:30pm. Remember to signup when you come in the door, then you can practice as much as you'd like to. Hope to see everyone there. Let's see if we can beat 79 entries this time :D

Just wanted to remind everyone to make sure you get your raffle ticket after you pay your entry fees. We have alot of cool things to give away tomorrow. See you there.
