Default Tri States 2004

Ok, a schedule change:

Jan 10th, 1st race down in Atlanta
Feb 21th, 2nd race, at Smoky Mtn Raceway

The rest unknown at this time........

We will be running 1/10 19t, 1/12 19T and then later Nitro outside. Foam tires in all classes, no hand out motor this year, any 19T motor is allowed.

Thats all I have for now, will continue to find out more info.

Default tri-state

There will more than likely be five dates for the tri-state. THe two dates above are correct. Fernando has secured quite a bit of handouts to be given out at round 1, the track has been redone.
Classes are a little different than above. 19T Touring, 19T 1/12 scale, and Nitro Touring are the only tri-state classes. each track is allowed to have a novice class with home track rules, but that will be the only other class availible. No more 8 classes for 20 drivers stuff. We could see an A, B, C, possibly D mains. Should be very close and exciting racing! Bring your own motor. The motor can be hand, or machine would adj timing, lay down or stand up, basically the same wild rules we have been running as that is basically what Roar is going to jan 1st anyway.
I know the georgia boys don't think we have anything for 'em, and we may be the younger racing community, but we are closing the gap. Let's go represent!

I was thinking of running 12 scale 19t stock and 12th 19t mod but I'm not sure yet.

Default Nitro

Sign me up for nitro....I don't know if I'll make it to Atlanta for indoor, but I'll be there for the nitro later in the year! The consolidation of classes is a great idea!

How many outdoor (nitro) races are there?

Default 19t

No worries Keith, Fernando is using a much more forgiving track materiel now. Maybe it's me, but I thought I was breaking more stuff on our swoopy indoor layout then the tight one we ran last week. The 19t are fast, but don't spool up that much faster than stock, well, at least mine don't This format (one touring and one 1/12 scale)should create some of the best racing we have ever had in our region with all the talent running together. Making the A will be a huge accomplishment, and winning any of the mains weather it's A, B, or C will be very tough because the gap between skill level will be very close. It will be a show for sure.

what's some hotel rates down there? I don't want to spend a fortune just to sleep. I might even come down that morning, if I can get someone to cover me at work.

Ryan last year it was 25.00 for first class and then 20.00 for second and 15.00 for a third.

Heath, the Red Roof Inn was $40 if you have AAA, Sams or about anything else, you just have to ask. There is a Holiday Inn Express across the street from the Red Roof, not sure of the price.
