Hey guys, I'm going to get back into racing and I've been looking at TCs. I really like the USGT class, it's fast enough but not too fast for a newcomer. I'm looking at chassis and i'm not sure which one to go with. I really like the Serpent s411 eryx 4.0 as it's been classified a great carpet car. It'll be the end of the month before I can buy my parts, bi-monthly pay checks.... any tips or suggestions on motor/esc/battery/chassis/spare parts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

It may be easier to approve my ideas for what I'm looking at purchasing for my setup...

ESC: Tekin Gen2 RS Spec
Motor: Tekin Gen3 21.5
Battery: Turnigy Graphene 2s
Chassis: Serpent Eryx 4.0
Body: Speed Passion Mazda Furai
Servo: Savox SC-1257TG

all good choices other then the battery. I would look at www.smc-racing.net for a better quality battery for not much more.

sounds good, I'll pick up a transponder as well.

Just curious, what makes the smc batteries such higher quality? To my knowledge, graphene is the most conductive material ever discovered on earth with the lowest resistances as well. I figured these batteries would have the upper hand compared to anything alloy based.

I shouldn't need any more than 50c right? I don't plan on doing anything more than 21.5 brushless.

usually the higher the C the better the quality. as for the graphene i wouldn't be surprised if smc is using it also. it's all about specing the quality control and what you tell them to ship to you. SMC doesn't usually let bad packs by. but I have seen some turigy packs puff on the first charge.
