CO27 at Horsham would be 28-32 with fans on it. It will be hot but fast. This was based off last year. The smaller the tires the better...Horsham gets very grippy so you might wanna also glue the sidewalls of the tires as well.

here is the equations to do roll-out AND find a pinion/spur combo to make a certain roll-out (saves a lot of math )


To Calculate Roll-Out:
Tire Diameter (in mm) * Pi (3.14159) / (spur/pinion*drive ratio of car)
To Find Pinion Needed:
Roll-Out * Spur * Drive Ratio / Tire Diameter (mm) * Pi

I find it easier to use the 2nd equation that a bunch of trial & error with numbers to find something close

Kaybo's all mathmatical and stuff....I just throw the biggest gear I can on that won't catch the motor on fire

28-32 seems high for a CO27. How long is the longest straight on the Horsham track layout?

Around 100 foot, its similar size to my home track, 28ish seems about right to me with 4200's..maybe29 with 38's

Ok, if it's a 100', then 28mm makes sense. I thought the track was smaller.

Ok racers..for Kranzels the tire traction rule is as follows:any racers choice non toxic products. They are back in business and product has come in. Kranzels will open at 8:00 on the 11th. Class prices are as follows: first class 17.00, 2 classes 27..
