No problem! I remember running my MF1 with a monster geared 20 86 so 22 or 23 and you will be in the ball park....see if you can run an 88 spur...mine always rubbed the gear cover.

I run an 88 spur now. I like the "pop" I get with it. I'll pull the XXX brushes off and put on a set of 767's with red springs and a 22 tooth pinion. We'll see what happens. If I cook it, I'll know that wasn't the way to go!

LOL yeah that's one way to tell....Here's another . Run 5 laps...try to make sure they are under race conditions...no sitting on your lid for 30 seconds....you know what I mean. Then pull your truck off and have some one temp it with a temp gun. I would expect it to get around 150-180 after 5 minutes so just make sure your not pushing 180 after 5 laps LOL

We will typically run our CO27's at close to 180 during the hot seasons...Ideally you want it around 160. The biggest thing is make sure that the motor doesnt fade on you around 4 minutes in. The batteries we have now will run balls to the wall for 5 minutes....its the motors that fade.

OK guys,

I'm committing to Full Throttle...
I'm listing all my motors on Ebay except for the one in my truck so I can race. After I get them sold, I'll be placing an order.

GB was a great time on Saturday. Bill had his FK05 dialed in stock. I myself worked all day and in the main was closer than I had been, but I made some bonehead mistakes. Maybe next time. Next up for me is the race in Frederick. 19turn baby.... Bill made some some awesome horsepower with a CO27. Keep it up dude. Way to go on Sunday in 19 Bill.

www.familyhobbiesraceway.com is where Fred and I used to run off road at. Check it out. Awesome track, the electric turnout just died off so we switched to touring...the last two years they have been bringing the electric scene back though.

What an AWSOME facility! It reminds me of a miniature golf course or something... I love it!

yeah when you get a minute go on there and read the "History" tab....that track held the first nationals back in 84....Mike Reedy, Curtis Husting, Tony P, the guy who started MIP (something Moore), Ron Paris...they all were part of the history there.

They also had the first Trinity Shootout featuring Kinwald and crew. When I started racing there, they used to get 100 entries on a Sat. about 50 50 gas and electric. If you made the A there, you were doing something.

Now most of the records get set every year by out of towners from Long Island LOL. seriously though....awesome track and every time I see it I miss running dirt.

Did you take a look at the video I posted of our indoor track here? Fun group of racers and the track is pretty fun even though it is small. Our outdoor tracks are all pretty big though.

Bob- I'm racing there this weekend. Right now it doesn't sound like there is going to be a very big turnout. All the fast guys are going to be running carpet. I will get a head count this weekend. Sounds like there will be at least 10- 12th scales, but maybe 15 to 20 if they all show up. We had a blast at yesterdays practice. Mike Sr, Paul Buohl and myself going head to head. It was a good practice session.
