Anyone know if the normal v21s sensor board fits on a Volta motor? I swapped esc, cable and eventually got to the motor. Swapped out with a different Volta and no power cut out or cogging problems.

No. It's a totally different sensor unfortunately. I do know that the Volta sensor is the same as the Motiv MC3 sensor if that helps.

Has anyone weighed a V21S vs a V21HD?

Yes and they're the same weight surprisingly.

Default 1:12 recommendation

Iím seeing four options for 17.5 motors. What would be the recommendation for 1:12 on a smaller, tight high grip carpet?

New motor out https://r1wurks.com/collections/v21-...ort-motor-roar

short can motor thatís lighter and supposedly helps with better center of gravity. Might be good for stock classes but Iíll wait for a short can Volta off this proves to help with the carís overall weight balance

Not new. Been out 8 months. It just now passed ROAR inspection. Made mainly for on road racing to help balance the car better and make them drive better...which it 100% does!

Hey R1, can you guys give me a ballpark recommended amp draw on your 21.5t V21-S? And what kind of RPM's should I be pulling if it's tuned right?

I'm pulling it off my car and throwing it on a SkyRC Analyzer to check out and tune this puppy up. Thanks!

Don't get stuck on a number. Look for the point where current goes up proportionally more than rpm.

Is there somewhere I can find a timing plot graph for the 21.5t to compare to? I was able to find one for the 17.5t and 13.5t on the R1 site but not one for the 21.5t.

Since you've got an analyser you can just plot it yourself.

Default Differences in bearing oils?

What are the differences/applications for the different R1 bearing oils?

So I have two R1 21.5T motors that I tested on the SkyRC Analyzer. I tried to get them close-ish to the 6 amp range to see how they compare to each other. The V21-S has always seem slow to me but it was the first "real" 21.5T motor that I ever had, got it used on eBay. I am new at this and am basically trying to troubleshoot this motor to see if there is a problem with it.

R1 V21 21.5T
6.4 Amps
53 degrees: 53 - 54 - 52
KV - 3148
RPM - 22355

R1 V21-S 215T
6.6 Amps
KV - 2593
RPM - 18155
43 degrees: 43 - 42 - 43

Why the huge disparity between the two? I know they are different series motors but should the difference be that big? Are either of these motors appearing to perform to factory spec?

Thanks for the help, I'm new at this and don't know what I'm doing yet.
