Default Charging

Mike-

Order came in and everything looks great. Just a quick question with the 3800 running stock and 19t can the 3800 be charged at 6.5 amps for a little more punch without any trouble? Gonna run them on Sunday for the first time (unfortunatly practice) and see how they do.

Thanks,

Mike T.

I've found 6 amps to be about right for stock and 19.

The cells have a different chemical make up than the GP's They don't like getting as hot as the GP's do. The IB voltages are higher with less IR than the GP without pushing them so hard during charging.

I would charge them at 6 amps at least for a few weeks before trying to step up the charge rate.

Thanks,

Michael Skeen
Thunder RC

BTW decals are going out tomorrow. I got side tracked with more orders.

tell me about it... the track needs work first.

I'm afraid it will be awhile before that happens. And I was told racing wouldn't start till mid october

Default Racing carpet at Redline in Marion, IL

Michael,

We are starting at redline this Wednesday evening. We are gonna run this Wed, next Wed, then have the first official race on the 27th. That is the plan so far...

We are gonna have to share the track with the oval guys, so not sure how our traction situation will end up... Will keep you posted.

6.5 amps or 7.0 amps are not a problem as long as you set the delta peak detection right.
