Hey Curtis, just wanted to say thanks for the power this past weekend!! Our BTH05 race was awesome!!! I threw my Ti3 you sent in my car, mounted a single fan, changed the profile on my GTX, geared exactly how you told me to, and WOWZERS!!! My car was a freakin missle!!! Motor came off at like 165*. Since I was the race director I only had time to cut it every other round, but it never missed a beat until the main. On the last lap the car just stopped... few seconds later it started again- not sure why but coulda been the brushes. I never rebrushed it so it might have stuck a brush or something. Oh well, it was still fast.

Thanks again for the great service and especially for making a great call on the correct motor and gearing. U DA MAN!!!

Jason

I had fun with you guys, and I'd say DC was well represented in the 19t main.. 1st, 2nd, and 4th, Steve barely missing 3rd by .4 seconds... almost had an all DC Motors podium..

Sounds like turnout may be good, but just trying to get a guage on who is going as I may have a friend coming from out of town.

Hey Big Dog, glad to hear you liked the motor ..... Sounds like your speedo shut off (thermal shutdown), to much HP , check the motor and let me know..

Will do Curtis. Hopefully today. Should I be looking for discoloration or anything in the brushes? Arcing on the segment seperations?

I thought the GTX didn't have a thermal interrupt programmed into it?

Hmmm, good question. Need to ask Charlie about that one.... Well if it was a hung brush you would notice a slight increase in comm discoloration where the brushes ride on the comm.... Before you rebuild the motor check it on a motor checker and see if it's doing anything funny (arching, sputtering ECT..) ...
