The decision of using plastic endbells on the OEM mods was strictly a cost issue. Steve said he couldn’t manufacturer the Al endbells cheap enough to compete in the OEM market. As for performance; for those of you who think strapping a piece of aluminum to a electric motor will make it go faster, I've got some magical beans for sale
So far our testing with the plastic endbell has yielded the same operating temperatures as the Al version, 145-165*F…..

Curt,
Hi Curtis,
That's good to hear. I was worried before about heat dissipation with the polymer endbell. How often do you need to change the springs on the CPs? Btw, do you have the magic beans in stock? joke

I've found my c2 is just as fast... just have to rebuilt it more often. Dont have to worry about tightening it down too much and shorting liek the integy motor does. Just gotta be careful with them.

Curtis- That C2 was rocking today. It just needed some more runs on it I guess because it was by far the fastest motor at the track today. People know when I come on the straight to pull over so they don't hear the crowd go wild from the ponies. Good luck at the Snowbirds.

Got to run up against the new check point 19 turn today. It was pretty fast but I had a little more motor overall. My buddy was still messing with the gearing on it but the DC tuned C2 that I was running held it's own.
