The new conversion will be slightly more although not much. I'm thinking around $80 USD. You will need to tape your cells still...

I am by no means a pro driver, decent but not pro. I was offered a chassis and a lower pod plate that would now be from your discontinued car to replace my broken one. He's asking $35 shipped and the chassis is new. Would I still be able to get the parts to finish the conversion, or would you suggest I wait for your newer car. If the newer car has noticeably better driving characteristics in average hands than I say it's worth waiting for, otherwise, I would like to consider the chassis I was offered. My car is also an L3. I have an L4 my g/f was racing and the differences in the car look to be some stuff is blue, servo mounts, chassis and lower pod plate, and the clamping hub.

I also won't need this car to be race ready till next winter as we just finished our indoor season last weekend.

Thoughts suggestions? Thanks for your help, I appreciate it

The new kit is backwards compatible with our existing car so parts will not be an issue. You will have to use a different left pod plate with the new top plate though. The chassis, cross brace and bottom plate are a direct fit. As far as if the car is better, we think it is. The chassis is a good amount stiffer due to the minimized cutouts and excels on high bite carpet racing.

Thats cool that the car is backwards compatible. So you're saying that the chassis, the lower pod plate, and the cross brace are all the same between the now discontinued and what you're working on.

When your new kit is ready, I will only need to pick up the updated top plate, left pod piece, the damper tubes and ball studs then correct? If your kit is $80, would I be better off waiting and picking up a kit, or should I see if I can get this chassis and pod plate for cheaper and picking up the missing pieces later?

What are you using in the way of a diff? Is it the standard 12L4 diff?

Thanks for your help

It's not that the new chassis is the same but it's a direct bolt on if you own the existing car. If you go back one page, there is a link to the april newsletter with info and pics of the new car. The 12l4 diff is actually an IRS "big" diff which is what most of us use on our cars.

Lino, you would happen to have a chassis plate for the old H12 still available would you? I would like to have a spare just in case. The new chassis you are going to sell is to thick for my purpose. Let me know. I would like to stay with the original chassis.

It's the same thickness as our old chassis (2.5mm). I know I don't have any new ones but I may have a used one kicking around.

What I meant to say that it being alittle more stiffer than what I need for asphalt racing. If you do still have an old one left pm me on how much you want for it including shipping, so I can send you the payment. I would be greatly appreciated.
