I was supprised with you going to a 4 screw rear pod and a the front was stiffer with more graphite surface area than the original one. The new car would be to stiff for my use on asphalt. One question though, I notice that most guys don't run the upper front brace, what is the reason for this? All in all it is a nice car.

The car is def geared towards carpet as was the previous design. The four screw design adds to the stiffness of the top plate allowing the shock to do more of the work. I am considering releasing and asphalt chassis. Basically the same thing but 2mm instead of 2.5mm with more cutouts...

As far as the front brace. Because of manufacturing tolerances, the brace tends to bow the chassis. If you install one, take a straight edge to the front. If it is not tweaked, then run it. CRC also makes a nice adjustable aluminum cross brace although you need to use the older 12l3 style caster blocks...

From a pan car standpoint, i run oval.. Ive noticed when running a front brace it makes the car inconsistent..

Put it on once then compress one side of the suspension.. if you watch the other side as you compress you will see it moves the other caster block outward.. It honestly doesnt really brace anything. All ive seen it do is force the blocks one way or the other depending on what side the force is on... if it had a mount in the center that bolted to the chassis then it would brace..

Ive seen some guys make them work.. This is just an observation ive noticed when trying to use them..

also if you do want to use one and dont want it to bow the chassis as lino said, take two standoffs, and get a long set screw.. you can have an adjustable mount and set it for perfect lenghth..

Yeah, I've been really busy the past couple of weeks. Things are well though. IB4200s are on the way along with the new 12th.

Also, I did get springs in, I just need to update the website...

I have a 12L3 that I picked up cheap ($20 ) with 2 good and complete axles. The main chassis is broken at the front body mounts, so it's toast. I see that you have a conversion kit available and are in the process of updating it. Will it be about the same money? Does your chassis require tape to hold the cells in?
