Jim, After reading your signature line, I'd hate to hear your acceptance speech if you ever won an oscar.

Job well done Jarrod!!

I was listening to the race on line and it sounds like you drove inch perfect for the win...almost had it in 12th scale also...very impressive.

Cheers

There is a little bit more going on there as is the case with most 12th kits. They all look the same but it's the little things. First off, we went to a four point top plate. This increases rigidity and allows the shock to do more of the work. The bottom plate is very similar although the hole placement is different since the left pod plate is different. The cross brace is very similar with just some slight aesthetic changes.

The chassis has been refined in many ways. The tbar routing depth has been optimized based on extensive track testing. The cell cutouts are shorter and include battery stops. The battery stops are not installed in the pictures you posted from the nats. The front three cutouts have been eliminated and the fourth one has been changed to allow you to lay the servo flat without interference. Although all components are still cut from the same 2.5mm quasi carbon fiber plate, the new chassis design is significantly stiffer then the previous chassis.

We are really happy with the way the car performed at the nats and will be moving into production next week. More pics and the such will be posted soon. If you have any other questions, please let us know. I'll also try and get Jarrod on here to let you know what he thought of the car. He managed to place third at the nats with it even though it was his first time running the chassis.

The seem to have more tourqe then the other two. You have to gear them a few teeth higher then the monster. They are very fast when setup properly though... To be honest, I haven't spun any on the dyno, we have only track tested them thus far.

Tim you got pm buddy

I will post my set up on here for everyone if you guys are interested. The car was awesome all week start to finish, i was very happy with the car considering the bumps in the track the became progressively worse with more traction.

Since the car started out strong the basic set up of the car didnt require much change through the week, i ended up just trying different tire compounds and battery position to make the car work better through the bumps. For main day the final set up was when the car was fastest, should have it posted shortly for you guys.

I'm no J-Rod, but we ran basically the same setup at the nats.

Front
-New CRC Lowered Front Blocks for the Dynamic Strut
-20 springs
-10 degrees of caster
-1.5 degrees of camber
-1 degree of toe out
-Parma purple tires trued so no shims are required for proper ride height (This keeps the roll center low)
-3.5mm ride height

Rear
-0.063 T-Bar
-Silver center spring (Jarrod ran a blue spring)
-35wt oil
-Batteries in center position (1/8th inch from full back position)
-Trinity Purple Stuff in damper tubes
-96 tooth spur
-Parma grey tires
-3.5mm ride height

If I left anything out, let me know...

I am not that big of a boy. I am more of an XL. However, put me on a waiting list for a sweatshirt,a polo shirt, and/or t-shirt. I the one J-rod was wearing looked nice.
