Hey guys. I am very pleased to announce the addition of Mark Smyka to the Hyperform Racing team. Smyka is well, Smyka and needs no further introduction.

Mark will be running the Xray fk05 Hyperform Carpet Conversion this coming race season.

Hey guys. Here are some pics of our fk05 Hyperform Carpet Conversion. The batteries in my camera died so I will have to post pics of the shock towers another day. You can read more about the conversion on our website.

Noticed the battery slots are not beveled. Will the production car have these done or will it be up to the owner? Also, are they made to fit 3700/3800s?

We're looking into it. It's not a huge priority for me since even with the bevel, you have to sand/dremel the slots to get the cells to sit flush with the bottom of the chassis. I did come up with a good compromise on the spacing so GP3300 as well GP3700 and the IBs all fit great.

If you bevel for 3700s/3800s 3300s don't fit well, lots of slop. If you bevel for 3300s you have to dremel for 3700/3800s. The best solution is to go buy a 1 inch sanding drum for a drill and just lay it into the slots. They come out perfectly and you can just take off a bit extra (ie push down harder) to fit the bigger cells.

just my $0.02

Lino,

Got the care package today, thanks! Look forward to using your product this weekend. I'll be in touch about the 12th scale stuff in a couple of weeks...

Lino,

Any chance you can include a motor guard with your 05 conversion kits, or is it too late.

It will not be included but the stock x-ray one will fit. Honestly, you don't need it... I don't know anybody who uses one and I would think it would do more harm then good in a serious side impact. Would you rather crack the chassis where the guard mounts or mess up a $10 dollar end bell?

all I can say is I've hit an been hit more than Mike Tyson's ex wife Robin Givens, and I never broke an endbell, just screwed up a body around that section once.
