Bob you don't need a million dollar car to do well. IF you want to car of the month club get a Tamiya or Xray. If you want to race and have a good time and extra cash to other stuff other than racing run almost any other brand of car.

And Brandon... those hex shock inserts can be a pain to get out. You should be able to use an allen wrench and just pop it back out. It won't be easy though. They are in there tight for a reason.
As far as droop goes, I stopped measuring the droop on the arms. I simply set ride height and then make sure I have 1mm front up travel and 2mm rear up travel. I measure that on a setup board using a step style ride height gauge. Strasnick does the same thing. It works out well mainly because of the tire sizes we run. 55mm for Parmas and 57mm on Jaco 2 Stages. You can't have the same droop setting on both, so the droop gauge doesn't help much.
Hope that helps.

I never said one thing about the TC4 I just made that shaft comment becasue they arent doing so well since there is a bunch of good belt cars out.
I was ripping on Schusmacker cars more. I've never seen a fast one in 15 years of rc.
Also you could of definatley got a used xray for what the TC4 and bmi chassis cost. Hell I sold my race ready one for 300 bucks a couple of months ago.

Right now belts are the cool thing to have so with so many guys running them it is pretty safe to say that a belt car should win more often than not.
Shaft cars have not gotten any slower, more like they are still fast but with all the new belt cars rolling out everyone is scrambling to run the newest belt car out.
I personally don't think it matters what car you run as long as it is one of the top 5 to 10 cars out they can all go fast and make the show. Still think it is mainly the driver and his car setup plus a little luck. Hell I have had most cars out at one time or another and some just suited me better than others but they where all capable of winning (maybe not with me all the time but thats not the cars fault)
