Does anyone know the tempature rating for the JACO blue tires. The JACO website says they are a 32 shore rating.

Have never seen a temp rating...blues were really positioned for carpet racing. Jack stated that people are seeing better results on asphalt with the greens.

Greens might be a great idea for fall driving, but here in Hawaii track temps range from 135-155 degrees. Greens would last about 5-6 laps. Most guys here run a 36-40 rating.

Jaco's are probably not for you...I tired blues outside with track temps at about 115-120 and they were junk. Sorex 36 or 40 are probably your best bet.

I'm running sorex 36's now. They fall off hard after 2-3 heats. I might have to try 40's. I was thinking my set-u might need tweeking, but my car was $ on RP 36's and I'd get 2-3 weekends out of them.

I was hoping that JACO would start making the Orange 36's again. We'll see.

18 runs on a set of Blues at GB this year, Mike. Only picked up about 3 tenths when I put on a fresh set. Wear looked good all the way down to the belt. Greens are much faster at night and in cooler temps, but will not last long if you run them in any sort of heat. I've run Greens at Mimi's with decent results. I have about 20 runs on the set I'm currently running and plan to continue running them.

Can't say anything for Sorex tires because I haven't tested them, but it seems a lot of ppl like them.

The only other rubber tire I've run this year was the MM Sweeps at the Nats, and they turned every car into a dump truck.

Robbie,

What track temps are you seeing in the GB? Think they will last 6 minutes in 135 degree heat

I'd say our track temps were somewhere around 110-115. The usual for GB, it was a pretty typical summer here. I don't know for sure about 6 minutes in 135 degrees, but I know that my tires never really showed any signs of peeling/graining at our track. We sprayed w/ the usual, top pop grape soda. About 12 liters of it which ended up being 2 good coats and one light coat.
