Tony, your batts are the bomb. Excellent punch, great run time the car felt like a rocket. Not even mention the fact that you went above and beyond to make sure I had the packs in time for the Florida State series race on 01/22/05. Hats off to you

Discharge rate?

Hey, can someone tell me if the discharge rate
IE 20amp vs 30amp
Will this effect the voltage per cell numbers on a companies
label on brand new cells.
I was wondering because trying to pick good packs is hard to do.
Help please?

The higher the discharge rate the lower the average voltage will be....

Default Doseck &Dobbo

Tony and I were just talking last night about when Dobbo's receiver fell apart just a couple minutes from the end of the Novak 500. That must've been around 1991-ish.

That was the single-best race at the Whip, ever.

Doseck and Tate invented what was to become the standard quick-battery change car based on a 10LSS. Everybody else was still going with entire chassis plates that had to be removed and replaced on the bottom of the car.

I can still see that race in my head WOW!!!

Default Paved Oval Nats @ King

Tony,

My dad and I were talking last night, and he mentioned another fun race from the past.

It was the paved oval Nationals at King, NC, which would be 1991 or 1992. Bud and I were in the same qualifier in 1/12 Mod. During one of the heats, I was running right behind Bud the whole race, and we were turning some insane-fast lap times. Problem is, we both dumped.

You look up to Bud and ask, "What the heck are you doing, Bud?" and he says, "I'm trying to keep McBride from passing me!"

I look over at Bud and say "Pass you? I'm not trying to pass you! I'm just trying to stay close so that when you go make the A, I'll be going in with you. I just figured you were better at pacing the race than me!"
