Hey Eddie,

I see a pattern developing here. You damage your real car and Peter win's a big event.

Default Two new options when ordering Modified armatures

we will now be offering two new options upon request when you order modified armatures and complete motors from Team Br00d.

the first is silver soldering the comm tabs, we previously only welded the comm tabs... now you can have them silver soldered if you like.

the second is the Team Br00d "Power Trix" edition armatures. designed to reduce arcing, reduce heat, and extend runtime.

just two more ways we keep you in the winners circle.

both silver soldered arms and power trix arms are now available, and the price increase for power trix arms will be minimal. email eddieO at [email protected] for prices.

copper is a fairly soft metal and does not have a particularly low melting temp, but at the same time it does not a have a very high melting temp either. during the welding process, the comm is heated to around 1200 degress, during soldering... only about 900 degrees. the comm is less likely to expand to far during the soldering than the welding.

however our welding process is so good, that there is really no difference between the two, so we are just offering customers a choice in case they have a personal preference.

if you order is placed and nothing is specified by the customer, our default is welding.

all orders for Power Trix arms will be silver soldered.

Nice design on the arm.... How do they look on a dyno?

the Power Trix arm on the dyno ( if thats what you are refering to) will not look any different. where they will look different is at the end of a 5 min run. the comm will not be nearly as burnt, and you should gain a little more run time.
