Team Brood or anybody smart, I need some help. I have a brand new Brood Komodo Dragon 19t ready to install. What kind of FDR should I use on a fairly large outdoor asphalt track? I think the back straight is around 160'. I always used C2's geared around 6.0 in the past.
Thanx.

Well as the K, revs a lot more than a C2 I would run it at around 6.8

Shop is currently closed due to flooding. Orders should ship Friday if we can get back in but the main road is flooded and they are expecting the entire town to see water according to the friendly neighborhood fire guy I talked to before scrambling out of town..

We're going to see dry weather the next 4 days so it should subside fast.

...and yeah, I agree with the KD...6.6-7.3 depending on the track, 6.8 sounds about right.

When will you guys have the IB4200WC Super-Mod Plus 450+ 1.237+ packs back in stock? And how do you get a top hat/heat sink on an armature when just ordering the arm by itself, there doesn't seem to be an option.
Cheers

We have a few arms with hats already, email me with what you want and we'll see what we can do. I am in the process of getting our hat lathe back in business so right now we can't hat any arm you want, only a select few that were done before the lathe going down.

Typically you only need a hat on 6x1-8x1 arms, it's really useless on anything higher because your not spinning the RPM that could throw the windings off the comm, and I really doubt the amount of heat dissipation is enough to make it worth while.

As for batteries, we will probably have more in stock 2-3 weeks.

I also got your arm in the mail the other day, it was obvious what was wrong ... we'll send you a new arm, it would have been out already but we had the flood and all.

Lol throwing winds over here is a reasonibly common thing because of how hard we push these things since we run a motor limit. But I have never thrown one

Oh cool, so what was the deal with that arm?

Basically....you pushed it too hard and blew it up. The solder was melted off the comm tabs and there was little comm left. Not a big deal..

When you say it blew up, what exactly do you mean? Because it didn't physically blow up.....or did it lol? And yea I did notice their seemed to be a lack of solder on the tabs, but I wouldn't have thought that would have caused it to not work at all.
Anyway cheers, and I think I will be changing my gear ratio... but that probably explains why it was so fast

Hit me up on XBOX Live...>Wes462

Coons....when the epoxy darkens like it's been re baked at 400 degrees and the soldering goes missing from the tabs, that's pretty well blown up.

I'm sure it had to have been fast for awhile..lol
