Gearign questions are the most difficult to answer as it depends on track size, grip level, and internal ratio....

But for most 2wd offroad cars, you are probably going to be in a range of 19-22 pinion for most applications.

both of these motors will probably be geared within one tooth of eachother, the core I would bet one tooth lower.

You may need to go higher or lower than the suggestion, it depends. Best bet is to keep gearing UP untill your lap times start to drop off a tenth, then gear back down one tooth.

Thumbs up

Team Brood TQ's and wins at 2007 ROAR Off Road Nationals ...

Dakotah Phend, TQ & Win Stock Truck
Dakotah Phend, TQ & Win 19T 4WD
Dakotah Phend, TQ & Win Stock Buggy

Marcus Neuspeed, 2nd Stock Buggy

Good job, Dakotah. This kid is awesome.

Edit: The results on LIVERC are not showing right, but from what I am told, Dakotah swept Stock Truck, Buggy, and 19T 4WD. That's 3 more nationals for Brood.

Just wanted to mention and update everyone, the shop is 100% up and running now. We are in the phase of needing to organize all of the new hobby inventory we got, but as far as the move goes, the motor shop is back the way it used to be.

Order turn around is 1-2 days. We are shipping every day.

dakotah is the man. i race with him locally like i said earlier and he is insane.

cant wait to see what he can do later in the sport. his parents deserve a lot of credit as well. being only 10 he can only do so much. they are the nicest people. and his dad must be quite the set up/pit man guru.

Started expanding the web site today, I put up about 1,000 pieces of inventory today. Team Losi, Mugen, Lundsford, Tony's Screws, and XRAY parts are all up and available. I need to audit the inventory, but we should have everything in stock.

Also new items : Nitro Engines. We're now selling EB Mods, OS Engines, Nova Rossi and more will be added soon. All of the OS stuff is online.

I got a email the other day, apparently we won another Australian National Championship .... I think that takes us up to 3 AU Nationals won this year..

Those wheel hex drives for the JRXS, are they gold plated? do they improve cornering capability? do they recharge your batts while running?

At $359.99 they better do something trick

They ensure you TQ every race, regardless if you were signed up for the heat or not... I actually did see that, but figured nobody would order $400 hex drives..

I will be there. I sold my VW Bus though, so I don't have a brood mobile to make into a mobile parts house. I will cram all I can into my Bug and see what happens. Hopefully I have enough room to put a pit table in..hah

My car seemed to work alright out in the parking lot, so I am going to leave it as is and just run it. Should be a good time.

If anyone wants tires: I have ING 35 and 37's. Thin/Medium/Thick inserts, Dish and Spoked wheels. PM me if you want me to bring any and I will bring extra instead of just packing the car full of wheels and tires. $20 for 4 tires, 4 inserts, and 4 wheels - they come unassembled.
