Thanks.
yeah the red atlas is a very potient motor. it has a higher rpm and is very competitive. tim wiedermen ran one in his truck at the ect#2 and was very pleased. nothing but good things with this motor. plus it looks cool mounted in the car..

Red Atlas is a very very good motor. I'd say it needs a slightly larger track to get the most benefit from. I use red/green 767's and found it to be a very rippy motor. Much more usable rpm than the checkpoint. Keep in mind I was running it in the off-road truck class on a very sticky track. Never got up to full speed even gearing it very low.

I'll do more testing with it this weekend at a slightly larger off-road track. Keep watching for further updates.

hey tim,
when you are running that motor at trcr you should probably go with red/red and use the same brushes. let me know what you think of it after the gold cup. good luck by the way.

the brushes used in your p2k2 were 4499 brushes. for 1/12 scale i would go with f-brushes with red+/green-

I am running carpet TC, I might pick one up to try, but it sounds like the Komodo is still the motor of choice.

the brood komodos come with 4499 brushes and depending on what it was tuned for determines the springs on the motor. carpet= purple/red asphalt=red/red,1/12=red/green or red/red.
