What is the best way to more torque out of a stock p2k2 or cobalt 27 that is on a MF2? Motor springs, gearing, or both?

Also does high tension springs give you more rpm and low more hp?

The Built Cobalt 27s

What brushes do you put in them? I used a Monster Stock Pro last year with the XXX Lemans brushes, because of the fact it kept the comm cleaner longer. And the power was good as well.

I have heard some engine builders bring the comm down to the "sweet spot" and then that new motor only has 1 or 2 comm cutts available. Does Brood do this as well? How often do you recommend cuts with the brushes you use? This will be for offroad racing, a B4 to be exact.

And are they in stock, how fast will they ship out?

Try either of the following combo's:

1. (+)767/purple, (-)766/red
2. (+)767/purple, (-)Putnam green/purple - I know it looks wierd, but its worked to bring up the torque significantly on several P2K2's that were lagging in the past.

From what I've seen, normally the tighter the springs, the more torque and less rpm. However, I've seen more than a few motors where softer springs gave more torque and less rpm. Optimum spring tensions are fickle and really subjective to the brushes used and each individual arm/can.

I have a quick question. I was cleaning out my Team Brood Quad Mag yesterday and got the springs mixed up. What color springs go on the + and - brush terminals.
