Default 19T Info Needed

QUESTION:

I want to get a couple of 19T Reedy Quad Motors Blueprinted or better.

I see the Blueprinted ones on the Br00d website at $42.00

Then I see the $55.00 ones both in 18.5AWG and 19AWG winds.

Are these hand wound arms vs the blueprinted that have the machine wound or something? Also why would I choose the 18.5 over 19. I believe all 19 turns are generally 19AWG for ROAR. If someone can post some information on these it would help. Also I know I can pick the type of racing on the order for the tuning they will do. That's cool.

Also what is up with the Atlas based 19 turns. Are those ROAR legal. I have some of the other A-Main drivers using DC Motorsports Atlas Blue Can based motors killing me and my Reedy packaged Quad Mag Pro motor. I want to use Br00d as you have been winning tons of big races lately and everybody is really impressed from what I hear and read.

Thanks,

The 19 AWG and 18.5 AWG are handwound motors...

ROAR requires 19 AWG wire....

Some tracks have looser rules, hence why we offer the 18.5 motors, which give about 10-15 more watts on the dyno...

The Atlas is a good motor......its however not ROAR approved, though it meets the basic specs....its just not been sent in. Only the C2 has been ROAR appproved...

If yer track allows handwound stuff....get that....its always more powerful.

For carpet, the C2 is popular.....for asphalt, the Reedy shines....

Thanks Eddie,

Are the hand wound 18.5 and 19AWG have the manufacturer's tag on the arm still? Or is it a certain blank that you do a 19 turn wind on? We are running the races here in Niagara Falls area and putting the guys through tech and looking for the tag through the holes in the can, just wondering what to look for or what I can do to compete and get away with myself. Our rules are not too strict but need the tag to assume the guy is not cheating. But I let my partner in the club do the tech work.

Are all motors Atlas and Reedy 19 turn generally ready to ship with 2 days after an order?

Thanks alot.

They do not have a tag, they are engraved....

Most stuff ships within a few days....sometimes if we have to wind stuff up, then it may take up to 10 days....just depends...

Handwound 19t stuff is usually in stock ready to go quickly....

Glad that arm worked.....it was kinda weird to wind!....Should of seen the look on Peter's face when I told him the specs before he wound it....

And the signature line is getting long..... but I must tell you.

I plan on adding a cleveland title or two to it before the end of the year....

Chosing that wind took me back to the days of the Reedy Red dot!!!

To run a 15x2 then you had to have crazy money to spend on cells!!

What laydown brushes/springs would you reccomend for it??

I am going to order some more things today, if possible could you throw some stickers in there??

did you hire a professional finger model?

The armatures look good, maybe you can explain what the advantages are!!

Less mass so quicker spool up, more torque, but also less angular momentum?
