What's the difference between the using of rubber o-rings and metal spacers in motors?
I ask this because I noticed that the latest batch of br00d motors comes with rubber o-rings.

hi Eddie: ran one of your 19t (reedy quad mag based) motors over the weeeknd at a local big race and was very impressed by the power it gave out. really good stuff which helped me finish 3rd overall. had a particular heat where i had to catch up from dead last after a 1st corner pile-up but was able to finish 3rd in that particular main despite a very tough track layout with very little room for passing.

anyway, i was wondering what the stock brushes are on your quad mag 19s? are these reedy 767s? i hear alot about the f-brush compound these days in stock racing and was wondering if this would also be a good brush to go with for 19T. what are the benefits of using one brush compound over the other (767s vs f-brush). which of the two would you recommend?

thanks in advance for the assistance!

ps. congrats on getting dumas into the team. great addition to the brood family! good luck at cleveland!

I noticed the Pro V2 motors are gone from the site, are they still available? Also, how is the Checkpoint deal going?

Roborat, normally the motors come with 767, I've been running F-brush with my Quad Mag 19T, Atlas 19T with very great results. You get more runs and I honestly don't see any disadvantage thus far with the f-brush. TQ, track record and win with F-brush in an Atlas 19T yesterday. I'm not even doing anything special to them, just running them straight stock.

Hugo, got yer order....I believe it went out already.....

b3n, glad your liked motor....and congrats on making the main!

Bertracing, In the v2 and shock motors, it helps cushion the bearing from ejecting.

We have built them both ways, the motors perform equally well, it can just be a durability issue sometimes, but even then, its very rare.

Roborat, The 767 is what comes in the Reedy Quads.....its what peter used at the Reedy Race to dominate the event. The f-brush is good, just need to make sure they are the newest batch, as the middle batch was horrid.....some people like to use them in the quad mag....I like the 767.

Nick111, v2 stuff has been added back to the site.....we only carried them as tosolini series motors, but those have been discontinued.

There is a pretty big sale on the site for Gp3700 packs....very good voltage.

Also, have a ton of the 1.170-1.189 6 cell IB3800 left....very very good cells. The IR is very low on these packs.....$39.99!

Order a $39.99 IB3800 or ANY GP3700 pack and receive a free pair of F-Brushes!

looks like the 2005 cleveland indoor champs is going to have a very different look with so many drivers changing teams.looks like nascar style driver moves if you ask me.

BJ, sorry....didn't get an email from you that I am aware of.....I will look again.

And its the time of the year where people change teams......and I may not be done yet, as I may have 1-2 more additions to the br00d team before cleveland....

At this time, only the br00d Monster and ROAR based 27t stock motors are BRCA legal.

As for differences, the ROAR is a bit more RPMish than the monster....while a p2k2 or p2k or core are more suited for offroad, because they are less RPMish with more torque.....the Gm3 is just an old favorite that people still like, so we carry them still.

On our site, you will want either the PRO or the Blueprinted editions.....they are identical in all points, except that the blueprinted comes with a full dyno print out.

All motors come with an extra set of brushes and a reuseable motor tube.....

Eddie O,

Just ran my Pro Monster that you guys built for me at my local track tonight. It gave me another lap and a half over the motor I used to run. WOW!! very nice!

Any idea on when you will see more of the 1.20 packs?

Thanks,

Eric
