Hi,

Recently purchased 2 x Super Stock 3700s 440+ 1.185-1.189 6 cell packs.

Want to get the most out of these running on a medium sized carpet track with foams and additive. Technical track. Running your Monster based Stock motor.

What amp would you charge at? and what D Peak would you set charger to?
Using the LRP Pulsar 2 charger.

Thanks.

Default Brand new smoking 19T C2 ........

Hi guys,

I just bought a brand new TeamBrood motor for my 1/12 and was trying to break in the brushes at 3.0 volts. 30 secs in I am starting to see a smoke coming out of the can through the back vents. I quickly disconnected the battery and immediately noticed how warm-hot the can was. I took the motor apart and only weird stuff I can see is a couple of wire strands has dark blackish color. The smell could be the epoxy on the wires.

Is this arm gone before it saw a track? Or is it normal and I should just continue? U just don't want to ruin the whole motor.

Here's a picture of the arm, everything else in the motor looks normal.

Thanks for your advice.

please just return the armature and we will send you a new one free of charge. sometimes this just happens in 19T and stocks.

Thanks Peter for the quick reply.

Is this the address I should use?

Team Br00d Racing
4529 200th St Ne
Arlington Wa 98223

Anything else you need from me or just the armature? Maybe I will better send you the whole motor with the nice plastic container which will be easier to pack.

Thanks

Actually, just keep the arm....no need to send it back, unless you want us to rebuild the whole motor, which we will do at no charge.....

Just send me your address in email and I will send you off a new arm at no charge or the whole unit back....

In the future though, all of our motors come pre-broken in, so you should not need to do it in the future.

Your stuff is coming over tonight, I am working on it right now....

The order, probably early next week.....arms are being wound. I just got nailed with so many dealer orders at once, my head was spinning.

Dealers have spent more in the last 60 days combined than they did in the last 180 combined before that.....nuts.

In other news.....I have talked to checkpoint......looks like we may be able to work something out, but nothing is finalized yet......I will keep you guys updated on the status of the motors...

You can't really go wrong with any of the 19t motors on the market.....they are all competive.

Personally, I like the Reedy, as I think it makes the most power, though its harder to gear.

leenoble0,

I would say charge at 6 amps with your peak detect set at 0.3 (30mv).
