The D4 is a torque blank Killshot with a new can.

EA
Torque blank? Should the D4 be geared the same as the killshot.

Not that I have seen! I have not had a lot of luck with the D4 yet in TC. Seems to just get hot and fade at 3 minutes. But then again I havent spent much time at all on the setup for it. That will probably happen this weekend.

So far the ORCA TX is still the fastest ROAR legal motor for me. That may change in a few weeks though..

I think its track dependent. The first three race meets I have ran the D4 I had the same problem as you with temp and fade, But once I got the temps in check I felt the motor was in between a Killshot torque and rpm motor based with a 12.5 rotor.

With a torque killshot and 12.5 rotor, I would get pulled on the straight from an ORCA, And the rpm stator is the opposite. But with the D4 I honestly feel the gap on the straight has shortened and the infield has gotten faster. Make no mistake I still think the ORCA has a little more top end. But its not enough to make me switch motors. This is all by feel and timesheets. All I have is a Fantom facts machine and RS gen2 for data. No dyno numbers.

So EA, you ready to spill the beans on the new ORCA motor? Maybe even a release date?

No Exact release date yet. ROAR does have them for approval now but all that is is a formality. I hope to have a couple hundred of them in the next 3 weeks though. Got a ton to sort through for our next big race coming up!

Just got word that ORCA RX3 motors are scheduled to be here next week sometime. I have a pretty large order coming in. Anyone who would like to preorder can email me at [email protected]

The TX series motor was already fast. This one is going to be even faster I have a feeling from some of the info Ive received.

So it has been several weeks since you returned from vacation. Rumor has it that you caught a big fish. Where are the pictures?

Oh, and thanks for providing very good service last week.

I'm looking forward to my 2nd season running EA Motorsports and Orca stuff. Last year was a good one. Can't wait for the IIC.

Havent even had time to go to the lake in 4 weeks. Too much time at the track preparing for that small venue in the desert!

Ran the 84 pitch gears today's at the track. I ran them right into the first third and eight wall haha. Then I got back onto racing they held up well and are fairly quite.

I have the 64p Leespeed gears on several cars already, nothing but good things to say about them (other than I wish I'd had them sooner.)
